Concrete Base For Shed Size. A relatively easy foundation for the beginner and a good base for any sized shed. This is a great way of achieving a level base, allowing maximum airflow to keep the underside of the shed floor dry. Find the base kit size for your shed.
With the sheds we make at designer sheds, the minimum slab size is usually 2m x 2m (there may be some that are a little smaller… contact us if you have a smaller requirement). Sheds on skids are usually placed on a gravel base because they're temporary structures, and so is the base. Find the base kit size for your shed.

The slots are used to support a 2x floor joist. Prepare the ground for your shed by digging the foundation to the proper depth. This will allow your siding to overhang about 1 inch, then provide a 4 inch gap between the ground and the untreated wood siding. If you do decide on going with a concrete shed foundation, make sure that when you are laying out your dimensions that the concrete is the exact same size as the footprint of the shed size you will want to build.
